In addition to the SUPER COOL NEW TRAILER…we’re proud to announce that THE NINTENDO SWITCH 1 & 2 DEMO IS OUT NOW! LIKE NOW NOW (for a limited time). Please note that this is a limited time demo, it will be available until 8/21.It’ll feature the game’s opening stage and conclude with the first major boss fight. Progress made in the demo will carry over to the full game at launch.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game also has support for a 120fps! Whether you’re playing docked on a compatible TV, or handheld on the Nintendo Switch 2’s built-in screen, you can experience all the action at a super silky and smooth high framerate!
As for whether it supports the mouse of course! In Mina the Hollower, you ARE the mouse! But we heard that if you turn your Joy-Con 2 on its side while playing and move it around, something may happen..

This week, our team made a tough decision: we decided to delay Mina the Hollower. The entire crew has been working tirelessly day and night to finish development for release on Oct 31st, but we’re just not quite there yet. This isn’t a major delay, it’s just a stretch of time to apply some final polish and balancing to make the game truly shine.

Creator of Hit Game Shovel Knight Is at a ‘Make or Break’ Moment

Yacht Club, a privately owned studio best known for 2014’s hit game Shovel Knight, is facing an existential struggle. The company has churned through most of its capital, forcing it to downsize and put a planned second project on hold so everyone can focus on Mina the Hollower. The delay will be rough on the studio, whose 15 employees are thoroughly burned out, and it will squeeze Yacht Club’s finances even further. But most of the team agrees the move is necessary to maximize the game’s chances of finding an audience. To remain independent, the company needs Mina the Hollower to be a hit. “It’s make-or-break for sure,” says Velasco, Yacht Club’s co-founder and studio head. “If we sold 500,000 copies, then we would be golden. If we sold even 200,000, that would be really, really great. If we sold, like, 100,000, that’s not so good.”
