Incepand din mai, odata cu lansarea Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, jocurile publicate de Nintendo pentru Switch 2 in format digital vor avea pret diferit de varianta physical:

Beginning in May 2026, and starting with preorders for Yoshi™ and the Mysterious Book, new Nintendo published digital titles exclusive to Nintendo Switch™ 2 will have an MSRP that is different from physical versions.

Nintendo games offer the same experiences whether in packaged or digital format, and this change simply reflects the different costs associated with producing and distributing each format and offers players more choice in how they can buy and play Nintendo games.

As always, retail partners set their own prices for physical and digital games, and pricing for each title may vary.

Pai asa e si normal pana la urma, de exemplu un prieten a luat Crimson Desert Deluxe cu 80E pe Steam si a primit jocul plus chestii ingame si eu am luat cu 80E Editia fizica in care mi-au dat diferite chestii cadou si fizice, chiar daca nu sunt asa importante, nu am inteles niciodata de ce un joc Digital costa ca unul Fizic cand iasa day one.
La jocul fizic ai imprimarea copertei, cutia etc care sunt costuri in plus.

Paritatea preturilor intre digital si physical exista de mult timp, si e datorita presiunilor facute de magazinele fizice care nu-i lasa pe publishers sa-si vanda jocul mult mai ieftin digital pentru a nu le scadea lor vanzarile. Dar in ultimii ani tot mai putini oameni cumpara jocuri din magazine asa ca retailerii nu mai au aceeasi putere de negociere, deci vor pierde acest avantaj si jocurile digital vor deveni mai ieftine, lucru care mi se pare normal.

La jocul fizic ai imprimarea copertei, cutia etc care sunt costuri in plus.

Jocurile physical de Switch sunt chiar si mai scump de produs decat cele pe discuri deoarece cardurile de memorie au devenit tot mai scumpe, in special cele de mari dimensiuni -> de aceea multe jocuri folosesc Game-Key Cards.
