Se zvoneste ca va rula Windows, Steam si alte apps, deci nu va fi o consola normala ci un hibrid intre PC si consola.
La asa specificatii cu siguranta va avea un pret pe masura si va trece de $1000.

Eu cred ca ambele, adica si PS6, va trece de 1000$.

Cat de ce se zvoneste ca va rula - eu cred ca e valabil doar pentru handheld cu windows - nu cred, sincer, ca vor renunta complet la Xbox OS si limitarea lor de a plati pentru a juca online sau alte "beneficii".

Xbox Next (Magnus APU) Rumored Specs

Daca informatiile din acel leak sunt reale, consola asta ar putea fi un salt destul de mare fata de ce avem acum.

Ca sa detaliez putin, avem asa:

APU pe chiplet design - Pana acum, Xbox Series X avea totul pe un singur cip (CPU + GPU). Noul model trece pe „chiplet design”, adica bucati separate pentru CPU, GPU si AI, fabricate pe procese diferite.
Asta inseamna costuri mai mici, eficienta mai buna si posibilitatea de upgrade-uri mai usoare pe viitor. E o tehnologie similara cu ce face AMD pe procesoarele lor noi.

GPU - Se vorbeste de 68 Compute Units RDNA5, fata de 52 RDNA2 pe Series X.
Pare un salt minor pe hartie, dar RDNA5 e mult mai eficienta, deci performanta reala ar putea fi chiar dubla.
L2 Cache-ul e de 5 ori mai mare, ceea ce inseamna mai putine pierderi de performanta la rezolutii mari (4K, poate chiar 8K).

Practic, consola asta ar putea rula jocurile ca un PC high-end din 2025.

CPU - Se mentioneaza arhitectura Zen 6, cu un mix de 3 nuclee „mari” si 8 „mici”, gen ce vedem acum pe laptopurile moderne. Asta ajuta la multitasking, la stabilitate in jocuri mari si la consum mai mic.
Probabil frame pacing-ul va fi mult mai stabil, deci jocurile mari open-world ar rula mai lin.

RAM - Aici e un salt urias: pana la 48 GB GDDR7, cu 192-bit.
Series X are doar 16 GB GDDR6, deci e o diferenta colosala.
GDDR7 e si mai rapida, deci vei avea texturi 4K/8K fara sacadari si timpi de incarcare foarte mici.

Consum de energie - TDP-ul estimat e intre 250 si 350W, ceea ce e destul de mult. Practic la nivel de PC de gaming.
Daca raman la o carcasa „clasica”, probabil va fi o consola destul de mare si cu o racire complexa (gen vapor chamber).

NPU / AI Engine - Asta e partea cea mai interesanta. Consola ar avea un procesor dedicat pentru AI, capabil de pana la 110 TOPS.
Asta inseamna ca poate face:
• upscaling AI (gen DLSS sau FSR cu AI)
• NPC-uri mai inteligente si efecte dinamice in jocuri
• integrare cu Copilot, asistent vocal, etc.

Pe scurt, e prima consola care ar putea folosi AI-ul in timp real, nu doar pentru dezvoltarea jocurilor, ci si in gameplay.

Vedem. Momentan nici PS5 nu are acelasi pret cu PS5 (de la lansare), iar PS5 Pro este cu 300€ mai scump decat acelasi PS5 la lansare. Logic ar fi ca PS6 sa fie ori identic cu PS5 Pro, ori mai scump decat el.

PS5 Pro e pentru pasionati, nu pentru toata piata si de aceea nu e la fel de subventionant ca modelul de baza.
Daca ar vinde PS6 cu mai mult de $1000 atunci ar intra in competitie cu PC-uri si nu cred ca-si doresc asta.

Asa cred si eu, si pe hartie suna foarte bine. Dar, la fel ca si cu Game Pass, odata ce pui lucrurile in perspectiva nu stiu daca e cea mai buna alegere - Xbox va deveni cea mai scumpa consola de pe piata, cand deja pierd mult teritoriu in fata competitorilor, deci se va vinde si mai slab ca generatia actuala.

In acelasi timp cei de la Sony vand base ps5 mai scump decat in 2020, deci oricum o iei piata se schimba. Sigur va fi sub 1k, dar garantez ca nu cu mult.

Indeed, the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X, with its Xbox Full Screen Experience, is essentially what the next Xbox will look like. It's not dissimilar to the SteamOS interface and Big Picture Mode, which allows you to exit out into full Linux at will. Similarly, the Xbox Full Screen Experience will allow you to exit out to full Windows if you want to, and run competing stores like Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft's own Battle.net, the Riot Client, and indeed anything else you want. Indeed, you could run Adobe CC or Microsoft Office on the next Xbox, if you so choose.
Where the Xbox console will differ from a traditional Windows PC is that it will feel like a traditional Xbox console out of the box. The onboarding experience will be similar to what you get today on console, and if you choose, you can remain fully inside the Xbox ecosystem, never touching Windows itself. Exiting out to Windows will be for those who want to access games traditionally not available on Xbox, including PlayStation games on Steam, mouse and keyboard-first games like League of Legends, or even classic games from GOG and the like.

Deci se va comporta ca un PC cu Windows Full Screen Experience doar ca va folosi un APU de la AMD, ceea ce-l va face mai greu sau chiar imposibil de upgradat comparativ cu un PC normal. Nu stiu de ce ai renunta la toate avantajele PC-ului in favoarea unei asemenea console. Parca vad ca vor vinde doar cateva milioane de unitati, deci nici developerii nu vor fi motivati sa optimizeze jocurile mult mai bine decat varianta de PC.
Ruland Windows e probabil ca va fi foarte usor sa piratezi jocurile, deci poate vor avea succes pe alt tip de piata .

L-au gandit asa doar ca sa poata spune ca urmatorul Xbox va rula jocuri de PlayStation ; IGN deja foloseste asta ca titlul de stire.
EDIT: si daca GTA VI nu va fi lansat pe Windows pana cand se va lansa urmatorul Xbox? Asta ar fi un dezavantaj imens.
