Lasand gluma la o parte, hatereala pentru Ubi (care a contribuit mult la performanta pretty ****) e una din cele mai greu de inteles chestii pentru mine din gamingul din ultimii ani. Ubisoft cumpara Amazon Games Montreal, creatori ai March of Giants (F2P 4v4 war MOBA - PC):

Today, Ubisoft announced that it is acquiring the rights to March of Giants from Amazon.

The talented, Montreal-based team behind the innovative multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) project will join Ubisoft, and, following the game’s successful closed alpha, is currently preparing the next large-scale update, which will introduce new giants, expanded competitive modes, and foundational systems designed to support long-term growth.

As part of the agreement, Amazon also will provide Ubisoft with marketing support for March of Giants on Twitch.

March of Giants is an ambitious new entrant in the global MOBA landscape blending lane-based combat, battlefield mastery and hero coordination. Since its first reveal, the game has attracted strong enthusiasm from early players and creators, who have praised its fresh art direction, tactical depth, and focus on meaningful team play.

Ubisoft accelerates in fast growing MOBA market by acquiring “March of Giants” game from Amazon

Vince Zampella, who had a major hand in developing franchises like Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, and Battlefield, died in a car crash on Sunday, NBC Los Angeles reports. He was 55.

Zampella co-founded Respawn Entertainment, which EA acquired in 2017 and is known for series like Titanfall, Apex Legends, and Star Wars Jedi. EA put him in charge of the Battlefield series in 2021 after the rocky launch of Battlefield 2042, and the series’ latest entry, Battlefield 6, has had a strong release. Before founding Respawn, Zampella helped co-create the Call of Duty series at Infinity Ward, where he served as Studio Head and CEO.

”This is an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with Vince’s family, his loved ones, and all those touched by his work,” EA spokesperson Justin Higgs says in a statement.
